Tork Design is committed to conducting our business in an environmentally responsible and proactive manner. Social responsibility and sustainability compose the foundation for our business model. We aim to conserve natural resources and minimize waste through recycling while practicing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources. Building relationships with suppliers and partners who strive for the same high level of environmental standards is our guiding principle. Eco-friendly Materials - We believe that the utilization of environmentally-friendly materials is crucially important. The materials used in all of Tork Design’s products have been selected with environmental preservation as its centerpiece. The bamboo we use comes from Moso bamboo, harvested from an environment that needs no pesticides or irrigation, comprised solely of five year old poles that are hand cut to ensure the forest canopy is not compromised and that the ecosystem is not disturbed. Stainless steel, a 100% recyclable material, is the metal used in the majority of our products since no secondary chemicals or treatments are needed for production. All of our finishes are non-toxic and are composed of zero to low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). We believe that we are doing our part in promoting a more environmentally conscious industry by eliminating these VOCs and other materials containing hazardous chemical by products
